Bio: My name is Shirley Murillo. I was born and raised in Costa Rica. I have been a Personnel Student Assistant for several years working with students’ athletes providing them resources, guidance and essential information to their education throughout the academic year.  My master's degree is in Human Development with a Specialization in Early Childhood Education. I earned my degree from Pacific Oak College. This degree prepared me to be culturally intelligent agent of change serving diverse communities in the field of human development, education and related family studies. I respect and embrace the differences that make others unique. I use this degree to offer Early Childhood Education courses and specialized trainings in the community. I strongly believe in the importance to open avenues to students for their educational and professional growth goals. I speak Spanish!

Bio:  I am a Sacramento native who played basketball collegiately at Lane Community College (Eugene, OR), Sierra College, and Cal Poly Humboldt. I have a bachelor’s degree in English literature and composition and a master’s degree in kinesiology. I have worked in the Cosumnes River College Athletic Department for almost 20 years in multiple roles including: professor of adapted physical education, men’s and women’s tennis coach, and instructional assistant/academic coach in the athletic learning center. I love reading, writing, golf, music and spending time with my wife, my two boys, and our golden retrievers.
